At the Steyning Community Orchard on the Memorial Playing Field (Cricket Field). Bring your apples and (for a small donation) we’ll help you juice them into delicious apple juice.
We’ve just counted the fruit trees we’ve planted locally around Steyning in the 6 years since we started, it’s an amazing 141 trees ! (36 of which were Sussex variety apples)

Found this lovely Velvet Shank fungus ( Flammulina velutipes) on a dead elder stump in the Community Orchard. It is one of the few mushrooms that fruits in winter. #fungi#mushrooms@SussexWildlife
#AppleDay this Sunday 22nd Sept at Fletcher’s Croft, Steyning. BN44 3XZ 1pm to 4pm. We’ll carry on whatever the weather! Juicing, live music, beer, cider, appley food, apple display and tastings, fruit growing advice. Loads of kids activities and face painter.
Had to cancel our Blossom Picnic this Saturday. Cold, showers and strong winds forecast. Not the best picnic weather! Such a shame as the blossom is the best ever..
Planted another 8 trees in 2 of our orchards, all sponsored by local people. In just 5 years we have planted over 100 fruit trees in the area. Thanks to @wildsussex for supply of locally sourced sweet chestnut posts, and @keepersnursery for quality fruit trees.
