What an afternoon! Soo much excitement. Spain vs Italy today! We did some research on both countries to help us decide which football team children wanted to support tonight. Of course we had many Spanish supporters , I wonder why. #humanitiesstannesgaE1 @StAnnesgaCPS

Gifts from the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience... Each of us took a turn to pick a gift out of the box. These gifts are our focus for the week. Children were very excited to see which gift they got. #restannesgaE1 @StAnnesgaCPS

Have you ever kept a secret? Identifying good secrets and bad secrets. We learnt that bad secrets are harmful to us or others and that we must share them with an adult. #RSEstannesgaE1 @StAnnesgaCPS
Asking questions about our chosen costal town using webcams. Excitement invades our classroom when IPads are in use. #humanitiesstannesgaE1 @StAnnesgaCPS
Outdoor learning- positional language: left, right, forwards, backwards. We used our English Story ‘Tractionman Meets Turbodog’ as an inspiration. Children took it in turns to be Turbodog. #outdoorstannesgaE1 @StAnnesgaCPS
Great scooter safety workshop run by For2feet Ltd. We went ahead, despite the rain. We learnt how to stand by our scooters, how to stop, how to scoot on a pavement and how to cross. #roadsafety @StAnnesgaCPS
We are getting really good at researching. Islam:where do Muslims worship? What symbols represent Islam? Who leads prayers in the mosque? What are the similarities and differences between Islam and Christianity? #REstannesgaE @StAnnesgaCPS
Amazing P4C lesson! We discussed our new ground rules for this term. Children chose them based on what they need o improve. After listening to the story of Mr. Luther King Junior (our stimulus) children identified what concepts we could talk about. We asked big idea questions.
