R.I.P. Literary icon Kenzaburo Oe (1935-2023). Winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Oe was one of the major authors of the postwar era, focusing on anti-imperialism, nuclear power, & disability. Oe was closely tied to his brother-in-law Juzo Itami and composer Toru Takemitsu.

Rest in peace, #RuggeroDeodato (1939 - 2022). King of the cannibal horror sub-genre, he was behind one of the most controversial movies ever (Cannibal Holocaust, 1980). Together with Fulci, he contributed to make the Italian genre cinema known worldwide.
