So good to finally have CCTV. Glad I struck up the first conversation with the police. Site visits and lots of admin this end but thanks to Aimee at @WestNorthants
This and the new bins are the achievements this year to date.. Working on lighting and obsolete signage now.

Although I’ve been quiet on here, I’ve been having lots of meetings with @WestNorthants and their contractors @VeoliaUK @idverdeUK Finally after two years of asking for new bins we’ve finally got some. Worth persevering for as it really helps make the area smarter. Thank you :)

The trees are getting ready to perform one of nature’s greatest magic tricks 🪄🤹🏼 Their leaf buds are tiny bundles of colour, all packed full of the promise of spring, and a wonderful source of winter joy 🙏

@WestNorthants we’ve done a big litter pick in the churchyard including the shopping trolley found and we’ve filled it with rubbish. Needs collection and parked on St Giles Terrace by the bin. Part of our effort of @NorthamptonBID Spring clean tomorrow in the town centre.

Please raise your concerns with the council- we have also reported it to the contractors as they have sprayed off parts of the meadow we as the community have sowed last year after getting funding. @idverdeUK this is poor practice indeed and needs rectifying asap!

Very sad to see bad practice use of glyphosate @idverdeUK @WestNorthants. It looks awful Think a policy change is needed! I’ve had so many complaints coming into me from the public especially after our efforts to help make this vital town centre green space better. #northampton

After and before. Sorting the Judas tree (tree number six) after contractors had planted this week @StGilesTerrace. Pruning broken and crossing branches. Liquid seaweed dropped off for Mondays well-being cafe at @StGNorthampton so they can apply the tonic to help establish them.

Robert Browne Memorial restored - cleaned & has all its letters back on.
Mike Ingram would have liked to see this - it was one of the things he campaigned for. Well done everyone who got it sorted.

@KhansaRazzaq Hi! Sorry I’ve just picked this up after a busy week. The contractors are planting tomorrow so it’s probably too late to get actively involved with planting but we are hoping to be able to raise some more contributions for more planting come autumn for phase 2 as a possibility?

@WestNorthants The beautiful churchyard in which we are trying to improve is a constant dumping zone. It would be good to get some cctv to catch these folk who are dumping their rubbish constantly. Some of this was garden waste dumped by the properties behind. #littering
