The delegation also attended the St Patrick's Flower Show and Tea Party at the Botanical Gardens. The annual cultural event, organised by the Montserrat National Trust, focused this year on ‘Embracing Montserrat’s Peace and Tranquility’.
The Chief Minister arrived in Montserrat 🇲🇸on Wednesday afternoon to begin a seven-day official visit.
The delegation, which includes the Chief Secretary and Governor, met with senior officials yesterday to discuss a range of budgetary and financial matters.
During a visit to Glendon Hospital they heard about plans for the new hospital. This will be purpose built, delivering a modern, fit-for-purpose, hurricane-resistant and accessible facility for the community of Montserrat.
An official delegation from St Helena 🇸🇭, including the Chief Minister, will be travelling to Montserrat 🇲🇸 next week.
This will be the first time a Chief Minister has made an official visit to another Overseas Territory.

Yesterday the Chief Minister joined Speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle on a marine tour around the coast of St Helena.
Sir Lindsay Hoyle is currently undertaking the first ever visit by a Speaker of the House of Commons to St Helena.
The Chief Minister, alongside the Governor and Speaker Gunnell, welcomed the Speaker of the House of Commons, Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, to St Helena earlier today. Sir Lindsay is currently in the territory on a five-day official visit.

A press conference was held earlier today where the Chief Minister, the Governor and the Deputy Director of FCDO’s Overseas Territories and Polar Directorate Adam Pile took questions from the media on this year's Financial Aid Mission
The Foreign Secretary David Cameron met with leaders of the Overseas Territories earlier today, where he reiterated the importance of the UK/OT relationship.
He also discussed St Helena's airport with the Chief Minister, the construction of which began during his premiership.
