21st August 2021 marks the 114th Anniversary of the 1907 Probation of Offenders Act, the beginnings of the statutory #probationservice which made way for the service we know as @hmpps

#Probation existed on #StHelena for many years as part of different departments but 2013, this was formalised with the first qualified #probationofficer arriving on island. Soon after a #teamoftwo #technicalcooperatives were established in order to meet the community’s needs!
