Welcome back! There were lots of excited smiles today as we welcomed our students to the first day of school in 2024! We can’t wait to see the growth and amazing memories that are made in this 25th year of learning at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School. #SomethingBeautifulForGod
St Helena’s was a magical place as storybook characters came to life for Book Week 2023. Wonkas, Wizards, Wednesday Adams, Wombats and Wolves were among some of the amazing characters who were at our school. #SomethingBeautifulForGod#ReadGrowInspire#cbcabookweek
100 days of school- 100 years of Disney! 100 is a big number & although 100 years is a lot bigger than 100 days, our Pre-Primary students had a ball celebrating the number 100 by dressing up as their favourite Disney character! #100DaysofSchool#SomethingBeautifulForGod
☔️ Our Inter-school Cross Country Team braved the wet weather to display amazing sportsmanship and great talent. They did a fantastic job at representing St Helena’s CPS and came 13th! #SomethingBeautifulForGod
There is lots of creativity unfolding in the Art Room! Our talented artists are busy sculpting, painting, sketching and colouring a range of masterpieces! #SomethingBeautifulForGod
☀️ Our Pre-Primary students took advantage of the break in the rain today to enjoy the sunshine as they played and explored! ☀️#SomethingBeautifulForGod
We celebrated NAIDOC Week 2023 in many different ways. Making damper, learning about traditional culture & celebrating strong Elders, our children celebrated & recognised the rich history, culture & achievements of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders people. #NAIDOCWeek2023
Fr Bona joined us for our NAIDOC Week mass as we came together as a community to celebrate and thank God for the history, culture and achievements of First Nations people. #NAIDOCWeek2023#SomethingBeautifulForGod
We know that we are so lucky to be warm each night, but not everyone in our community has the same experience. Today we held a PJ Day to raise money and awareness for the @VinniesWA@VinniesAust#SomethingBeautifulForGod
Our Year 4 students joined an online call with author Tristan Banks today as part of the Apple ANZ StorySchool program. They loved listening to how @tristanbancks creates his books & learning special techniques about how to bring their writing to life. #SomethingBeautifulForGod
After reading ‘If the World Were 100 People’ by Jackie McCann and learning about percentages, the Year Three students used data to create their own version of the book about our school. #SomethingBeautifulForGod@BookCreatorApp
Luckily the rain stayed away this week so we could play at recess and lunch!
At St Helena’s we are so lucky to have so many playgrounds and space for our children to play! #SomethingBeautifulForGod
Our Pre-Kindy children have been busy cooking up a storm! From messy sensory play, to mud muffins they have loved pouring, scooping and creating a range of different pretend food! #SomethingBeautifulForGod
The best thing about the rainy days of Makuru are the puddles! Our Kindergarten students enjoyed stomping, splashing and floating leaves in the puddles that formed in their playground. ☔️🌈#SomethingBeautifulForGod
❤️ Stripes, dots, mermaids and burgers! There were plenty of crazy socks at St Helena’s as students and staff raised money for LifeLink WA through our crazy sock day. #SomethingBeautifulForGod
