#GPCLengenfeld A highlight of the German study trip saw the English-speaking pupils giving their insights about life in the UK to Klasse 7, including differences in regional accents.

#GPCLengenfeld 12 British pupils are on a 2-week German study tour in Thuringia. Some got important exam results - many congratulations to them! They look forward to celebrating their results when they get home. Meanwhile noses to the grindstone with more German grammar lessons!

GPCLengenfeld After wandering the grounds of Friedenstein castle we made our way to the old town and admired the traditional buildings, bought souvenirs and ate Spaghetti Eis.

On Thursday we were invited to 2 different classes at the primary school. We learnt how to sing 'the incy wincy spider' auf Deutsch. The children were helped (by our pupils) to sing it in English.

So before we walked up to the castle, the pupils were very competitive at a Kahoot. They were quizzed on Bavarian and UK knowledge🤔Team 'Gelbe vom Ei' won. The view from the classroom window too.

Die Kapelle (chapel)at the top of the castle with the most beautiful wooden ceiling and coat of arms. The pupils learnt a lot about the German Empire and loads of vocabulary: Graf, Herzog, erben, das Vermögen.
