Our church building is in urgent need of major repair. We are having a community open evening on Friday to discuss ways to save our building and how it can be adapted to better serve the needs of the New Brighton community. Do join us at 7pm. PS, cheese & wine!

On Sunday evening at 6.30 it's our carol service at St James'. This is always a wonderful occasion with lots of traditional carols (followed by mulled wine and mince pies of course!). You are warmly invited to join this joyful celebration of Christmas.

Sunday is All Saints Day, and we will be holding our annual "Special Lives" service at 6.30. This is when we remember our loved ones who have departed this life during the year. Please join us if you want to commemorate a loved one and light a candle in their remembrance.

It's our annual Lifeboat Service on Sunday at 10.30 am at St James' Albion Street. We honour the crew of the New Brighton lifeboat, and have a great sing. All in the presence of the crew and the Mayor of Wirral. Do join us!

If you're coming to visit beautiful St James Church, New Brighton, as part of Heritage Open Days tomorrow, you'll also be able to see a fascinating exhibition in church called "Streets of Wallasey" showing the origins of many of our town's street names. 11am til 4pm.

If you've walked up Albion Street NB in the last few days you'll have seen that work on repairing our beautiful rose window has started. We're delighted to say we've been awarded a grant from the Benefact Trust to help with the cost, but further fundraising will go on.

Fancy a traditional cream tea on Saturday? You're invited to St James' Albion Street NB from 2pm - enjoy a cream tea for £5, live piano music from Katinka, plus homemade preserves and bring-and-buy stalls. All proceeds will go towards the restoration of our rose window.
