Meet the St. Louis woman on a mission to memorialize the lives lost to COVID-19 https://t.co/mujEMwhoMg via @stltoday thank you for the wonderful article 💗
Didn't know where to start, so starting with #StLouis's first #COVID19death, nurse Judy Wilson-Griffin. She had a 30+ year nursing career and leaves behind a son and daughter, grandchildren, and many friends and extended family who loved her very much.

A year has gone by too quick. I forgot to renew the domain name https://t.co/y2MKURYRF1 but it will be back up soon if it’s not back up already. Forgot to put it on auto-renewal 🤦♀️
I drafted this paper about the data that I've collected on https://t.co/z6fCkYA1wu and my general processes.
I've put this project temporarily on pause (except for user submitted memorials) because of the mental health issues ... 1/3

@collhistgarden A belated thanks! I will get back to this, my mental health was just suffering and this project was adding to it. It makes me feel good to help others and stir emotions 💗
Two things tonight... A submitted memorial and more personal update - personal stuff 1st so it doesn't take away from the impact of the memorial.... I know I haven't posted in a while and this account, and my personal Twitter also mostly stopped updating without notice. 1/

I knew I was "back" when, to show that I can write academically, I wrote a paper about the people I've written about on https://t.co/5OQDmE3glk , the comparison of obituaries vs COVID-19 death numbers, and my methods. I'm trying to figure out what if anything to do with it. 6/6
Although my mental health has improved... I'm still not sure that I'm up for going through obituaries again, although it concerns me that obituaries sometimes disappear and at least become much harder to find & search through. 5/
James (Jim) Allen Shupe died of #COVID19 and sepsis on January 14, 2021 at St. Louis Mercy Hospital at the age of 79. Jim spent many happy years after his retirement from Seven Up fishing on his dream house's lake in Cedar Valley. https://t.co/EuVTKHTKi1
@HollyEdgell Wow- shouldn't surprise me but what good reporting! It's nothing short of a massacre. I've heard some horrible stories and guessed at many more. I think alot is kept from patients' families also. I wonder what the true # of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes is. 😢
