@jrlikeswhisky@calebnoble08 Picking up stars during a rebuild would be the literal most asinine move any GM of any team in any sport could make. I’d rather they go take fliers on 100 young guys and let them compete and see what they can do
@RossJeffreyD @TheCatOnBallyTV Money isn’t the main reason lol there is literally no point in giving innings to a 37 year old pitcher during a rebuild. Rebuilding teams give opportunities to a young guys to see what they can do. Never followed a team that did a rebuild huh?
@SMD_LS@MattCarp13 No one asked you to reply hardo. And I’ll trust the guy who played in the league for 15 years as opposed to someone who’s only been watching from the couch. Funny you call a big leaguer a has been when you’re a never was!
@jtlope@AthleticsRants Nah lol my opinion has nothing to do with where anyone lives or where a team is located. It is that a sports team can’t be thriving if the team sucks and the org is dysfunctional. If my favorite team sucks and is losing, I don’t care about their revenue and it’s weird that you do
@jtlope@AthleticsRants Again I’m not talking about Oakland I’m just telling you that being proud of your teams franchise value is weird. Hope you enjoy the Raiders missing the playoffs but at least being able to say “my team had high revenue and sold expensive tickets” 😂
@jtlope@AthleticsRants I’m not talking about Oakland though lol you brought that up. I’m just refuting you saying that the Raiders are “thriving” in Vegas when they absolutely are not because their team sucks and the org is dysfunctional
@jtlope@AthleticsRants What??? Do the Josh McDaniels and Jon Gruden situations not exist to you?? Also “other than not winning on the field” is an insane sentence lol if a pro sports team isn’t at least competitive on the field then nothing else matters
@jtlope@AthleticsRants Sorry but this is a terrible way to view sports lol flexing someone else’s money is super weird 😭 franchise value means absolutely nothing if the product on the field sucks and the organization is dysfunctional
