1 - We sing the praises of our nurses every day and this week - Nurses Week - provides all of us a meaningful opportunity to show appreciation for our hard-working nurses. Nursing demands unwavering mental and physical toughness tempered with compassion and patience.
2 - And it is demanded during some of life's most precious moments. Our nurses are always there - to care, to reassure, to celebrate and to comfort. We are privileged to have a skilled, compassionate nursing workforce that represents our ministry and mission so beautifully.
1- For health care systems, employee retention is a bigger issue than ever, partly due to how the COVID-19 pandemic strained the health care workforce. Retaining the best and brightest takes a commitment to caring for employees as people, not just professionals.
3- In addition, the health system prioritizes employee recognition, provides opportunities for employees to self-schedule, helps shape changes to care processes, and offers a benefits package that supports the whole person.
3- Having a voice in these important decision-making processes helps employees feel valued, benefiting health systems and patients alike. Learn how St. Luke’s Health uses shared governance and other steps to keep employees satisfied and committed. https://t.co/TBOqflnEuM
1- Skilled nurses and other health care professionals are hard to come by. Consequently, retaining high-quality employees is a key area of focus for health care systems, including St. Luke’s Health.
2- One of the ways St. Luke’s Health fosters employee satisfaction and retention is by giving employees a voice in shaping care processes. This shared governance approach allows bedside caregivers to help craft changes to care practice and methods to implement them.
1- Health care has faced a shortage of nurses and other professionals for quite some time, but the COVID-19 pandemic worsened the problem—and made employee retention all the more important.
3- This includes an approach to leadership that encourages managers to regularly check in with employees to ensure they have what they need to grow, both personally and professionally.
Building diverse and inclusive teams that reflect the richness of the communities we serve helps us understand and respond to patient concerns and needs. St. Luke’s Health is working to improve the healthcare experience. https://t.co/SzC4SNLqCI
Achieving the best outcomes possible means addressing the whole person, their environment and culture, and our role in their care. https://t.co/SzC4SNLqCI
Community resources, cultural beliefs and expectations about health and medicine, environmental factors and socioeconomic factors all play a role in patient health. Taking steps to improve diversity, equity and inclusion can help us understand what patients need to get healthier.
When we think about improving patient care and outcomes at our organization, we might consider the latest research, the breadth of service lines offered, or the technologies available. https://t.co/SzC4SNLqCI
Improved communication fostered by a better understanding and acceptance of our differences and establishing community partnerships play an essential role in breaking down barriers and improving access to high-quality health care.
