Today on Mission Day we learned about the Mission and Vision for our school -To Love, Grow, Believe, Achieve. Pupils made beautiful booklets with symbols for each of the words and wrote about how they could live out this mission.
What a fantastic start to the new school year we have had. Children have been learning about the Zones of Regulation, thinking about how emotions affect us physically and have an impact on our learning or behaviour.
We have been learning about First Aid Heroes in SRE. Pupils acted out stories of bravery involving children calling the Emergency Services to help them understand how to seek help in an emergency.
Today we reflected on how we ‘build bridges’ in our relationships with others. We wrote our own Acts of Contrition and pupils led a ‘Collective Worship’. We had an afternoon challenge of ‘Being Kind’ which resulted in so many good deeds. Da iawn Year 4.
As part of our RE topic called Building bridges we thought about how we can use The Gospel values to build friendships and to make peace when there is conflict. Fantastic teamwork Year 4.
A day of outdoor learning in Cardiff’s best classroom, Bute Park. We made forest potions, bark art, went on a micro trail to study the world from ground level. What a fantastic day of exploring, learning and enjoying nature with our friends. #outdoorlearning
We composed melodies with a loop today in music as part of our sequence of lessons inspired by the rainforest. We had a go at playing some melody starters and then worked with a partner to innovate these melodies. #rainforestpercussion
Today we practised reading Tongue Twisters and decided ‘What Makes A Great Tongue Twister’ in our literacy lesson. We will be working on creating and performing our own tongue twisters this week.
