Middle School had the first Coffee Morning yesterday. Casual as it looked, without presentation, parents were able to grab a coffee, meet our new Middle School leadership team, and ask questions to the Middle principal, Dr. Ashmore, and the new Assistant Principal, Mr. Cubbit.
The first few weeks of school year are crucial for our students to adjust to school routines and procedures. At the same time, let’s take a moment to remind ourselves and reflect on the five core values of St. Mary’s: respect, compassion, honesty, fairness, and responsibility.
This week, all of St. Mary's embraced the magic of words. The Drop Everything and Read program is a delightful reminder to hit pause, dive into captivating stories, and fuel our minds with the power of literature.

As an important part of Personal Development of this school year, we invited Tamagawa Fire Department to conduct First Aid Training, including performing CPR and using an AED . All faculty members, coaches and support staff received training.
We can’t wait to see all the new and familiar faces returning to the campus. Grades 2-12 will start school on Wednesday, Aug. 16, while RP and Grade 1 students will start on Thursday, Aug. 17.
St. Mary’s welcomed new students today. New Middle and High School students had the opportunity to meet each other and some of their teachers, and to go on a campus tour led by student volunteers. New families from Elementary School attended an on-line welcome meet.
Welcome back to St. Mary’s as we kick off the 2023–2024 school year! All faculty returned to campus today for orientation and will be preparing for our students’ return on August 16.
Despite the rain on the first day, Summer School started smoothly and was full of excitement. We welcomed many returning students and many new faces. With the support of our talented teachers and High School assistants, we hope everyone enjoys the next three weeks of adventures.
Yesterday marked a milestone for Grade 5 students as they graduated from Elementary School to start a new chapter in Middle School from next school year. Thank you to all their teachers and families who joined them in celebrating this special moment.
