This morning it was announced that from July I will be staying where I am and serving my curacy with @StMattDarl, St Michael's Heighington and St Andrew's in Bolam.
Tomorrow is our monthly Cafe Church Communion service when we will also be making a special announcement.
Cafe Church is a more informal style of church service with a break for breakfast and a discussion instead of a sermon.
This Sunday at 11am we will have a special service of Holy Communion in memory of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
We will have special readings, prayers and hymns as we remember and give thanks for the life of the Queen.
Everyone is welcome
This morning David spoke about the Eastern Orthodox idea of "bright sadness." This is the idea that even in the depths of grief, we may experience joy and love. This is perhaps best expressed in the Orthodox prayer for the dead, the Kontakion https://t.co/ihNmKDOisZ
During our Morning Worship tomorrow we will have special prayers for the passing of the Queen and for our new King.
Our Holy Communion service next week (18th) will be a special commemorative service with readings for the occasion
On Monday at 7:15pm we will be holding a service of prayer, reflection and thanksgiving, as we remember the life and service of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Everyone is welcome.
On the death of Her Majesty The Queen, we are praying for The Royal Family.
Add your respects to the public online condolence book, at https://t.co/otxTFvnkL5.
#MorningPrayer
We awaken, Lord,
to a world which
feels strange;
a world without
one of the constants
we knew,
a world where
much is changing,
and in which
certainties are,
for many,
a distant dream.
Reassure us
of your constancy,
and anchor us
in your love,
whatever life brings.

Good luck to those getting their GCSE exam results today.
Whatever the result always remember that you are loved by God and that your worth is far more than some letters on a page. #GCSEResultsDay#gcse2022
