Today's Pastor's Pick is about Catholic art - the Pieta by Michelangelo (St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican) Carved from a single block of Carrara marble when Michelangelo was in his twenties, the Pietà shows the Blessed Mother holding the body of her crucified Son. Mary’s face is young and serene; Christ’s body is tenderly composed. The work invites contemplation of redemptive love: sorrow held within trust, and beauty that does not deny the Cross.

Today's Pastor Pick is a Traditional prayer: The Memorare — for those who need help and feel alone. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Situation: When you or someone you love needs Our Lady’s help and feels abandoned.
