Extremely sad to hear the news that Danny McGrain has been diagnosed with Alzheimers disease.
A man who means so much to a generation of supporters, myself included, but even more to his family and friends 💚
Full disclosure: George Connelly has been a family friend since the 1950s, when my great-aunt walked him to his first day at St Serf’s Primary School in High Valleyfield.
My old fella later worked down the Valleyfield pit with George’s big brother, ‘Josie’, who played upfront for Cowdenbeath.
So, when director Ged Fitzsimmons asked me to get involved with the George Connelly Documentary seven years ago, I didn't hesitate.
To get the project over the line, we set up a Crowdfunder that ends in just nine days. Of the £50,000 needed to produce this feature-length film, we are now only £1,000 short.
If you can share this with like-minded Celtic supporters, I am sure we will reach our target and create a documentary we can all be proud of.
Thank you so much for your support.

Desmond was obviously ragin that MON got the team to win the double. So he‘s giving MON absolutely no chance this season.
Dermot Desmond and his band of merry yes men !!
Disgraceful
A man reputedly worth €2b and his high ranking son are currently crippling @CelticFC due to their business practices. Nicholson and Wilson are puppets on a string. It’s these 2 who’re to blame…don’t be fooled
@CelticFC Dragging your feet once again with incoming players. Saying you have problems getting them in, the only problems we have are the incompetent board. Not fit for purpose.
A girl in the office could have processed Iheanacho and Saracchi transfers.
At this rate, forget Champions League qualification, yet again. And another struggle domestically. We got lucky last season but our world class board think we are good to go. They are a joke, not fit for purpose, treating the fans with contempt as usual.
@CiaranShevlin A malaise has infected our football club.
While management blames everyone else - fans, agents, and greedy players - the truth is clear: we need a complete overhaul of vision and approach.
Real change must start at the very top.
The difficulty isn’t in dealing with agents as they close deals with the vast majority of clubs and work perfectly fine when it comes to Celtic selling players…the difficulty is Nicholson and the Celtic board are not fir for purpose at getting deals (purchases) done quickly.
The recruitment team at Parkhead need sacked (@CelticFC).
We had a decent left back in Sarrachi, Settled into the club, wanted to come back on a permanent basis and the imbeciles apparently wanted another loan spell and allowed another club to nick him for 1.5 million.
1/2
@CelticFC
Shambles again as preparations for recruitments is embarrassing. The usual excuses thrown about. 3 kind of Lies, Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics. Sell everyone, scrimp on new players. At the end of the day it means The Celtic Board are not fit for purpose. Amateurs
@tirnaog_09@ayremeraldcsc After the shambles of recent transfer windows, they have learned nothing. There is no reason to delay signing players except for the fact that the board are not fit for purpose. Absolute charlatans. Embarrassing.
A weapon designed to specifically maim and kill children.
Illegal under the Geneva Conventions for numerous reasons, including being disguised as an ordinary object, and being specifically targeted against civilians.
A War Crime of the highest order.
This is as clear-cut as you will ever see. The handball is absolutely crystal clear.
Looking back at it today, the Sky Sports panel were an embarrassment last night. Honestly, they should be issuing apologies. And I can’t believe I’m saying this, but they owe apologies to John Beaton, Andrew Dallas and even the SFA.
When you actually look at the still images and the replay properly, the officials made an absolutely fantastic decision under enormous pressure. That is EXACTLY why VAR was brought into football — to help officials make the correct calls in huge moments like that.
Derek McInnes’ comments were completely over the top as well. In my opinion, when people in positions of influence start questioning the integrity of decisions like that without properly analysing the footage, they bring the Scottish game into disrepute.
You then had English pundits and media figures jumping on it because controversy sells. Let’s be honest — the English media have never respected the Scottish game, but they love a fairytale title story because it creates headlines, interviews and money.
Rangers fans will disagree because they hate Celtic. Hearts fans will disagree because their first title in decades is on the line. But anybody who looks at the footage objectively, regardless of who they support anywhere in world football, can clearly see the correct decision was made.
The officials deserve credit, not abuse.
And despite months of people wanting Celtic written off and buried, here we are — still fighting, still standing, and ready to fight right to the very end.
The Celtic show rolls on.
Hail Hail 🍀
