The early morning sentinels are awake and ready for our early mass followed by tea and toast today. All welcome at 7.30 for mass or 8am for tea and toast x
The churchyard @StPetersCradley in a bliss of blue and pink bells, cow parsley froth, little shy primroses and forget me not sea… and … the apple pie factory is in full and sumptuous bloom!
Such fun tonight at the community barn dance - what a talented lot, and unending energy! Amazing food, proper job that.
Huge thanks to the Cradley Sports and Social Club as ever and our amazing leaders Eve and John 😍
If you saw the tower lit up tonight it was our trial lighting. We have received funding for LED lighting for our iconic tower which can be seen all over #Cradley and from the train line.
A light to lighten the darkness.
Keep your eyes open for our next experiments!
Our #YellowCandle for Yom HaShoah (holocaust Memorial Day) is lit today in church. Do pop in, sit quietly, say a prayer or light a candle in memory of the six million of our Jewish sisters & brothers who were killed in the holocaust
We pray for peace in our world and healing love
Half hour mass early before work on Tuesday? Food for the journey, strength for the soul … all welcome 7.30am (optional tea and toast if you have time)
Easter @StPetersCradley in the wind of the Spirit of the Risen Lord up #cradley hill ! Holy mysteries, song, joy, bacon butty breakfast, Easter egg hunt and the liturgical smashing of the giant Easter egg! Alleluia! He is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Happy Easter, all!
Candlelit compline tonight, the church full of song, prayer, and the light that cannot be overcome
The first in-person mediaeval plainsong compline since Covid, and we wound it together with the prayers of all the faithful throughout the ages. You could breathe it in the air…
On this dark night, with all the stories and all the dreams of the day and of the night for miles below…. The Angel @StPetersCradley stands guard over the Black Country… fierce yet tender
Sleep gentle, sisters and brothers, safe under the wings of love
Children’s crafts, flowers for Mary and knitting from the MU at the Mothering Sunday service yesterday. So much love was flowing, God’s love blessing all kinds of mothering love, and flowing out into the community 😍
The saltire flies half mast over S. Peter’s as we remember the tragedy of Dunblane. God hold, bring peace and healing
Inside the paschal candle is lit, with snowdrops, the flower of #Dunblane. Into darkness and pain shines the light of hope and presence no darkness can overcome
Heart melting moments in the parish today… our youngest person in the church family, at only four weeks; what a cutie blessing us @HalasStMargaret , and at @StPetersCradley this gorgeous moment of father-son sharing on the organ bench.
God in the air 😍
S. David, lover of the poor, evangelist, founder of communities, man of determination and prayer, pray for us
May the fiery strength of dragons warm and bless your day, the sunshine of daffodils cheer your hearts and the gentle silver flow of the Taff fill your soul with music
Look out for y ddraig goch today, flying from the tower 🏴 on this #StDavidsDay️ !
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus, chwiorydd a brodyr
