Have your say here on how to improve travel, traffic and transport in Highbury and across Islington:

Our borough, the most densely populated in the country, has one of the lowest rates of car ownership. Let's use the lockdown as a chance to make a change.
1/ THREAD: a bike ride through Islington to Canonbury, starting at the new Packington Estate, designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards for the Hyde Housing Association. It's a mixed development scheme comprising 790 homes: 300 for private sale and 490 for social rent.
Night B4 I organised a 'Meet your @UKLabour candidate session' down St Peter's St in my ward @StPetersLabour we knocked on every door, rang every bell & asked people just to come out & just say hello to Chris Smith. Great fun, LibDem candidate lived on St Peter's St.

Boris Johnson is right to have u-turned and backed our proposal to remove the NHS charge for health professionals and care workers.
This is a victory for common decency and the right thing to do.
We cannot clap our carers one day and then charge them to use our NHS the next.
This is NOT correct & I’m concerned so many people are sharing it.
This protection only applies to ‘employees’ NOT ‘workers’ - workers are the ones much more likely to be affected by the announcement.
Talk to an employment lawyer if you can, do not just not show up to work
The govt seems to be giving people 12 hours notice that they should go back to work - or some of them should. It's not clear who should go back, or how they can get there. However #StayAlert.
This is not the clear leadership we need and is just not good enough.
“... I accept that an apology is not good enough. I know that ultimately I will be judged, not on what I say, but on what I do. Tackling antisemitism within the Labour Party must be a priority...”
This is such a strong editorial from @Keir_Starmer in @JewishChron.
This was amazing! Genuinely very moving, you could hear applause and cheers coming from every direction. Tbh I didn’t expect it to happen as well as that but am so glad it did #clapforNHS ❤️
Happy ballot day! Labour members, you should have received an email from CES with the details of the London Assembly Candidate nominations. Don’t forget to vote! #Islington#Hackney#WalthamForest
It’s our monthly ward meeting this Wednesday 5th Feb at the Arc Centre, St Paul St.
We’ll be talking Labour leadership and local boundary changes, as well as hearing what our local councillors have been doing over the last month. All members welcome! 🌹🌹🌹
Londoners, if you’re struggling today, remember this:
Tomorrow you’ll wake up in a European city, where hundreds of languages are spoken and every race, religion, class, country and culture are represented. London will always be European, and London will always be open.
On a bit of a twitter break...but just thought I’d share.
Very honoured to be elected Chair of Islington South and Finsbury CLP last night. We have a fantastic and welcoming atmosphere and I hope to continue it!
Vote by education level - 58% of those with GCSEs or below voted Conservative, 43% of those with degrees voted Labour
