This afternooon, we enjoyed creating a prototype of a mechanism using levers and linkages. It was quite a challenge! Many of us demonstrated good fellowship by helping friends who needed support #teamstphilips@StPhilipCEAP
We enjoyed solving our maths problem today using a variety of methods. Some of us chose to use manipulatives, whereas others chose repeated addition and column multiplication ❌ @StPhilipCEAP#teamstphilips
We love party day! After all our hard work this half term, we enjoyed a party filled with games, prizes and food! Merry Christmas everyone 🎄🎅🏼🎁 #teamstphilips@StPhilipCEAP
Today, we made our torches 🔦 Using our designs, we decorated our torches to suit the needs of our user. Then, we created a working circuit and secured this inside the housing of the torch #teamstphilips@StPhilipCEAP
In DT this half term, we will be making torches 🔦 To begin our learning, we used electrical components to create a simple series circuit. After that, we made a connection switch to use in our circuit #teamstphilips@StPhilipCEAP
We had a wonderful trip to Chester Grosvenor Museum today. We marched to the amphitheatre with Roman shields to practise our battle formations🛡 #teamstphilips@StPhilipCEAP
We went on a Psalm trail around our school grounds 🌳 We read each one to understand more about the nature of God. We found out that lots of psalms use imagery to describe God. For example he is described as a shepherd, shield and rock 🐑 🛡 🪨 @StPhilipCEAP#teamstphilips
VARMINTS ARE HERE! We made a very strange discovery in our classroom this morning. Someone had left us clues and a letter. We used our English lesson today to record investigative questions about our discovery #teamstphilips@StPhilipCEAP
We loved using our library this morning to enjoy all of the wonderful books 📚 We had some time to share the books with our classmates and then we each chose a book to take home #teamstphilips@StPhilipCEAP
Today, we created still life drawings in the style of Giorgio Morandi ✏️ We worked as a team to arrange the objects in the middle of our table and then sketched what we could see. We also added shading and highlights to show the light in our drawings @StPhilipCEAP#teamstphilips
Thank you so much for a wonderful year! I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching the children again and I will miss them lots and lots! Thank you for all of the cards and very generous gifts! Have a lovely Summer🥰
Today, we were lucky enough to work with @Blandpoet. We had lots of fun in our assembly this morning, listening to many of Ian’s wonderful poems and then this afternoon, we worked with Ian to create some of our own Kennings poems. They were fabulous! @StPhilipCEAP#teamstphilips
One of our classmates was so inspired after Ian Bland’s visit yesterday, he rushed home and wrote a poem about him. He was delighted to present it to Ian, today!
