First responders run toward danger when everyone else is running away. Christians should have that same heart. When people are hurting, let’s be the first to bring compassion, practical help, and the hope of the gospel. Don’t hide your faith. Be a conspicuous Christian. Let your light shine. ✨
John Lennox has spent decades defending the Christian faith as a mathematician, philosopher, and apologist. But I’m not sure he’s ever said anything more beautiful than this.
"So completely was Jesus bent upon saving sinners by the sacrifice of Himself, He created the tree upon which He was to die, and nurtured from infancy the men who were to nail Him to the accursed wood." —Octavius Winslow
You know what wrecked me when I was converting to Christianity?
Jihad is literally the gospel in reverse. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it.
The gospel says Christ shed His blood for YOU.
Jihad says you shed your blood for ALLAH.
Jesus lays down His life to save His enemies. Jihad calls you to take the lives of enemies in pursuit of God's favor.
Christianity says the Shepherd dies so the sheep can live. Jihad says the sheep die hoping the Shepherd accepts them.
They are mirrors. One is grace, the other is striving.
One says, "It is finished." The other says, "Do more."
Jesus never asked me to earn God's love with my blood, he proved God's love by shedding His own.
That's why the cross changed everything for me. Jesus didn't come to tell us how to die for God.
He came to die for us so we could truly live. PRAISE GOD! I AM FREE! Now, we need to make all the Muslims Christian.
Singer-songwriter Lyle Lovett, in Fort Wayne for a show, joined us for chapel, coffee hour, and a short tour last Friday. In a Q&A after chapel, Lovett, a lifelong LCMS Lutheran, told students: “It's a life of service you are signing up for. Please know that those of us in the congregation appreciate your sacrifice and your dedication to giving us the opportunity to hear the Word of God.” #ctsfw
One of my favorite quotes from Ronald Reagan:
“Sometimes when I'm faced with an unbeliever, an atheist, I am tempted to invite him to the greatest gourmet dinner that one could ever serve and, when we finished eating that magnificent dinner, to ask him if he believes there's a cook.” 🔥
I’m a Southern Baptist, but last week I had the opportunity to take part in an event with President Harrison as well as Dr. Russell Dawn, president of Concordia University.
I hope to write something more substantive about this in the near future, but I believe the willingness of these men to ruffle feathers of theological progressives in their midst and police the boundaries of their denomination for subversive teaching is probably a factor in why this is true.
What I learned about their courageous, principled leadership was encouraging not just to me personally but also an object lesson for other denominations in how to be firm but loving.
One example—Dr. Dawn eliminated DEI officers and shuttered the Women and Genders Studies Department. And he did it while enduring protests, lawsuits, social media firestorms, online petitions, and even threats.
I’m going to share some of this at TPUSA Educator Summit. And after that will try to turn into proper article.
‼️STOP & PRAY
-By now, many of you have heard the tragic news of what happened to East Lake Community Church last night.
Below is the pastor's statement.
A statement from Pastor Troy Keaton:
Our church family suffered a great tragedy tonight after an outdoor tent collapsed during a celebration service for our 20th anniversary. Just as I had walked to the stage to release people to their cars, a burst of wind picked up the tent.
There were several people transported to local hospitals, and we are currently focused on caring and praying for them. We do not have details on their condition. Sadly one of our dear brothers suffered a fatal injury. Our hearts are broken for his precious family.
We are grateful for all the first responders who are serving us tonight. We will have more to say at an appropriate time.
Man, this is beautiful. A life adorning the gospel.
Listen to what @StevenBartlett—host of one of the world’s most popular podcasts—says to Christian apologist John Lennox.
We were absolutely floored by the millions of you that watched us make silly water sillouettes on our driveway last summer. We are starting out the summer the only way we know how, and this time it’s all about movies! What else do you want to see? We have a whole summer ahead, a driveway and a hose. The possibilities are endless!!!

If it’s on your mind, why aren’t you praying about it?
“𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨; 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥, 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘛𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦.” — Philippians 4:6 NLT
It’s not “pray about some things,” or “pray about most things.”
It’s everything.
Sometimes it's easy to forget that God wants us to bring things to him continually.
So today, don’t just pray about some of the things you’re facing.
Pause. Be still. And bring everything to God.
