Friends, what a gift to visit the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia at their motherhouse in Nashville. I came away grateful for their joy, their consecration, and their quiet work of handing on the faith.
On the day I was entrusted with the ministry of the Successor of Peter, exactly one year ago, the Church celebrated the Supplication to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of #Pompeii. I therefore had to come here, to place my service under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary. #PastoralVisit https://t.co/uui9x3qPhh

For the first time since 1994, the Pope is personally carrying the Cross for all 14 Stations of the Cross, as Pope Leo XIV leads the Via Crucis at Rome’s Colosseum in the first Good Friday of his Pontificate.
Pope Leo XIV said Wednesday that the Church “cannot err in faith,” as it is sustained by the Holy Spirit and the consensus of the faithful. In his General Audience reflection on Lumen gentium, continuing his series on Vatican II documents, he urged Catholics to rediscover their role, stressing that every baptized person is an active witness called to defend and proclaim the faith, guided by the shared sensus fidei.

Today, Charlie Kirk should have walked through our studio doors.
Please join me in praying for the repose of his soul, his widow Erika, and their children.
Dear friends, today I turn seventy years old. I give thanks to the Lord and to my parents; and I thank all those who have remembered me in their prayers.
“May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” —Galatians 6:14
As we mourn the loss of Charlie Kirk, one of our brothers in the Church was martyred in Lyons, France, on the same day. Arshur Sarnaya, of the Chaldean Catholic Church, who was disabled, was killed by an Islamist in hatred of his faith. And there are many others also being killed for the Christianity. This week, the cry of Jeremiah to the Lord is resounding throughout the world! ‘How long. Lord?’ When will you vindicate your faithful people?
