over de (opgeklopte) 'rel' van de samenstelling van het Belgische 🇧🇪 4x400 mixed relay team in de olympische finale van #PARIS2024 .

Uiteraard kreeg Helena Ponette de voorkeur op Hanne Claes (wat zij ook moge beweren).

⏱️ Splittijd Ponette EK 4x400 Rome:
49.92 (als slotloopster, 6e snelste van die finale)

⏱️ Splittijd H.P. EK 4x400 mixed relay finale OS Parijs:
50.28 (als 2e loopster / Naomi VDB, als 4e, 50.85)

⏱️ Splittijd H.P. 4x400 finale OS Parijs:
49.95 (als slotloopster, haar 6e! race van de OS / Naomi VDB, 1e loopster, 51.57 / Hanne Claes, als 3e, 51.08)

Ponette verbeterde in Parijs haar PR tot 51.46. Had vorige jaren al bewezen dat ze op de 4x400 de snelste is.

Ja, Claes liep voor OS Parijs rapper (PR van 51.28), maar op bijna 1000 meter hoogte, in La Chaux de Fonds. Daarvoor nooit in de buurt gekomen.

Met Naomi VDB lag Claes meer in balans, niet met Ponette.

CONCLUSIE: Alexander Doom had 100 procent gelijk om zijn mening pro Ponette duidelijk aan te geven.
