Johor Tennis Association Tournament wrap-up: Bonita and a partner she met on Saturday took the Championship Title for Girls U10 Doubles. Jiayi earned a Bronze Medal in Boys U10 Singles. This was a great performance for two 4th Graders in their first tournament in Malaysia.
Bonita and Jiayi, both from Grade 4 are competing in the U10 category sponsored by Johor Junior Tennis Tournament this weekend. Both players compete again tomorrow. Bonita is going to play a placing match, and Jiayi will play in the quarterfinal game in the morning.
The NEWTON (New Technology Operative Network) group recently had the amazing opportunity to visit the NTU School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in Singapore, where they got to witness the futuristic education system offered at this renowned institution.
In Ms. Miel's art class, the students learned about artist Henri Matisse, particularly his cut-out artwork, and how he used color, shape, and composition to create visually engaging collages. The students worked in small groups and planned their work.
Students had a wonderful time celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival by making snow-skin mooncakes, tasting different kinds of mooncakes and tea, and making their own lanterns.
Every week our Grade 1 students visit the Forest City beach during their Citizen Science class. They explore the natural habitat, identify sea creatures and plants and record their findings. We are ALL IN!

Our focus In today's lower school community was on developing growth mindset strategies. We explored the power of the word βyetβ. In the sense that I may not yet be able to achieve my goal until I take some small steps or ask for help.
