St. Thomas Church Lancaster is building a new community centre in the heart of Lancaster City. Please help us raise £3.6 million so that we can help others.
Enormous thanks to our project team who have worked on our building project for the last 7 years. Read their diary to find out about the highs and the lows, about putting the Fun back into Fundraising, and about prayers that were answered along the way.

We've been a bit quiet recently, so thought it was time for a few more photos from Terry. Great to see @PiningtonLtd making progress with fixtures and fittings as well as the decoration work.
We are beginning to see the finished centre emerge from @PiningtonLtd's hard work. The scaffolding has been removed and the internal work is progressing well. Thanks for this week's photos Terry!
After waiting so long, today saw the amazing stained glass window go into our new centre. Take a look below.... or maybe wander past in person next time you are in town?
Thanks Terry, great photos!
Great to see the history of the old school on this site being remembered in our new building. Literally being set in stone! Progress continuing thanks to @PiningtonLtd.
Listen to Katharine on Radio Lancashire, talking to Joe Wilson about the way St. Thomas church is addressing the climate challenge, including how our new centre is being built in a sustainable manner. Starts 2 hours 45 minutes into the session.

Cables, pipes, vents and slates have been the focus of this week's work by @PiningtonLtd. We certainly wouldn't want to work out where all those cables have to go!!! Thanks for more great photos, Terry.
Today, Jon, Tim and Karen saw some of the beautiful final samples of the stained glass window designed by Sarah Galloway (below) and we have given the green light for the making of the final product. Exciting progress!
Impressive progress at the Heart of the City project, St Thomas’ Church Lancaster @StTsHOTC Part funded by this Trust & @AllchurchesT & @WestonFdn
Here are a few more amazing photos from our Cross Bay Walk - we have now raised almost £2,000 for our Heart of the City project. What a fantastic effort and thanks so much to the team that organised this fun event.
Terry has been busy photographing the interior progress by @Pinington this week. We are beginning to get an idea of how the centre will look inside now...
Please don't forget that today is the deadline for sending in your pledge forms for our (hopefully final) fundraise.
In Terry's photos from this week, you can see that @PiningtonLtd have started on the internal walls.... Great progress still being made and fascinating to see the inside of the building beginning to take shape!
Find out in this Youtube video just how close we are to reaching our goal of opening the new centre debt free. Please consider helping us achieve this by donating to our Heart of the City project (https://t.co/NeNqH1wuhP.)

This week's photos from Terry show how we have been thinking carefully about building sustainably as part of our Heart of the City project. @PiningtonLtd have fitted roof insulation, are re-using bricks from the old centre, and installed new solar panels on the roof. #sustainable
