Storm Cancellations
In anticipation of Hurricane Lee, we have decided to cancel the following events:
- Nightfever - September 16
- Communal Rosary - September 16
- Couples for Christ Family Assembly - September 17
We pray for the safety of all.
If you can, join us tomorrow to pray for an end to the wildfires, and to pray for displaced people in our community and first responders. Anyone who is looking for a quiet place to pray is welcome. We will share about other practical ways to help as soon as we can.
And if we truly want to celebrate #Christmas, let us rediscover awe before a God who becomes little, who is not born in splendour, but in the poverty of a stable. To meet Him, we must go where He is. We must lower ourselves, make ourselves little.
Let us ask Mary, the Virgin of Sweet Expectation, to teach us how to "watch and pray" so we do not get distracted in our following of her Son, and to discover His saving presence in the events of our daily lives. #Advent
May Our Lady take us by the hand in these days of preparation for #Christmas. And in the littleness of her Child, may she help us recognize the greatness of the God who comes. #Advent
Preparing the #creche for Baby Jesus, we once again learn who our Lord is. He is the God of humble meekness, of mercy and love, who intervenes always respecting our freedom and our choices.
Season of #Advent, let us be shaken out of our torpor to recognize God’s present in daily situations. If we are unaware of his coming today, we will also be unprepared when He arrives at the end of time. Let us remain vigilant!
During this #Advent Season, let us ask the Lord to help us keep the lamp of faith alit in our lives, to be prepared to receive him, and that he fill us with peace and joy.
