A joyful social gathering for our incredibly gifted and dedicated Diocesan Digital Group today to share fellowship and thank them for all they have done in keeping @CopticDiocese connected over the past two years, during which they have facilitated ~10,000 online hours per month.
Uplifting Liturgy early this morning celebrated with all the fathers of @SydneyCopts’ St Anthony and St Paul parish. A blessing to feel the fellowship and experience God’s work. Sincere thanks to Fr Tadros, Fr Macarious, Fr Shenouda, Fr Surial, Fr Seraphim and the whole community
I was strongly advised not to do this 👇🏼 again…so I won’t.
Besides, there are some tweets you really cannot improve on.
…and yes, yes…I know that he was the ‘bad guy’, well, at least for most of the time…but just go with the obvious 😳…and the theme of redemption.
A joy to be with our @CopticDiocese St Barbaras Pre-Servants’ Training Programme this evening, listening to a wonderful presentation on the authenticity and impact of the #Resurrection, and then providing a short reflection on sharing the #hope of our Risen Lord with the world.
An uplifting Liturgy today with some of our @CopticDiocese clergy to celebrate the life of our dear brother Fr Philopatir, praying repose for his soul and comfort for his family and @St_Mercurious community.
“Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your Lord”
“So it was, as soon as the days of his service were completed, that he departed to his own home” Lk1:23
We have farewelled an angel of the diocese, Fr Philopateer, after a years-long gracious and valiant struggle with illness, who so faithfully served @St_Mercurious for 25 years
A very happy and blessed #StDavidsDay to all our friends in #Wales 🏴. Was a blessing to be with our wonderful community in #Risca just yesterday and experience the beautifully scenic Welsh countryside and sun.
#DyddGŵylDewiHapus!
Blessed to celebrate Liturgy at @St_Mercurious, #Wales, this morning.
“...the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me...that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing” Jn6:36-37

30 years ago today I was blessed to be consecrated a monk at the 4th Century monastery of Saint Bishoy by the late #PopeShenoudaIII, heralding the start a journey in the footsteps inspirational men and women who remain the foundation of religious life around the world till today.
Such a joy to be online with the wonderful young people of @St_Philopateer discussing Spiritual Endurance.
The spiritual journey is most certainly a marathon and not a sprint, with its breathtaking views and inspiring milestones along the way.
#FakeNews:
This starts on Monday 🤔
We have come a long way together, but still have a little way to go. Please stay #careful, #responsible, #vigilant and #safe...and keep each other safe.
None of us is above human vulnerability or brokenness, so they must never become a source of endless self-condemnation, but an opportunity to arise and rebuild. Through them we are also able to recognise, understand, and excuse where we can or must, the brokenness of others.
A beautifully uplifting Liturgy this morning at @St_Philopateer in #Risca, #Wales, having just recommenced prayers in Wales a week ago; after which I had a wonderful opportunity to pay a quick socially-distanced visit to Fr Philopatir, who was unable to attend.

"The Christian message and life is one of hope and joy, but also one that, we have been told by Our Lord himself, will entail suffering..."
Archbishop Angaelos and Archbishop @JustinWelby sat down to discuss, what it means when we pray Thy Kingdom Come.
