I ran @nyrr United Airlines NYC Half the other weekend. It was cold, the kind of cold that tests you early. But distance running reminds me of leadership: you don’t wait for perfect conditions. This past weekend I spent the day at the MSPA conference surrounded by incredible school leaders from @FollowCSA @CSARunsAs1 and @owe_csa Great workshops, inspiring conversations, and a powerful reminder that leadership is never a solo act. Yesterday I ran with colleagues from @FollowCSA @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1 the Al Gordon @nyrr in Brooklyn……Snow on the ground. Fog in the air. Runners showed up anyway. With every mile, you could see runners’ breath rising into the cold morning. And as always the unmistakable voice at the start and finish of @davecugini the voice that holds all together.

This morning i ran with my colleagues and friends from @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1 and @FollowCSA …As we stood at the start of the Washington Heights @nyrr 5K, the snow began to fall.
And it snowed the entire run.

Cold air. Wet roads. No excuses.

I did it….the full @nyrr @nycmarathon Every mile was a test of strength, heart, and determination. What an unforgettable night in the Bronx with so many of our @FollowCSA new members and current members. Tonight we welcomed 55 new members into our CSA family, and the energy was amazing. I told them: welcome to the best membership you could have. Surrounded by my spirit sisters @HermandadDeSIA @owe_csa and @FollowCSA @CSARunsAs1 I was reminded how strong we are together. We are a close knit family, and that is something special. @FollowCSA @hrubio @HermandadDeSIA @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1

Last night’s @FollowCSA Staten Island reception was full of energy and heart! It was a joy to welcome new members and reconnect with so many dedicated school leaders. The CSA family continues to grow and we cannot wait to wrap up this amazing series in the Bronx this week!!!!! @owe_csa @CSARunsAs1 @HermandadDeSIA @hrubio
