🚨 The Supreme Court just let Alabama Republicans change the rules and use a racist congressional map for this year’s midterm elections.
It’s time for us to organize, mobilize, and vote like we’ve never voted before!
“This is a moment when we need to flip the script and have state government be the forefront of civil rights and a representative democracy.”
Our own @DanielSquadron joins @staceyabrams’ Assembly Required to talk about how we build power in the states.

Our tax dollars should be used to fund care, not cruelty!
Our MOMbassador and Maryland member Jean joined our team, @mychal3ts, @staceyabrams, @10stepscampaign, @domesticworkers, and more to head over to Capitol Hill and demand Republicans in Congress reject $70 billion in funding for an out-of-control ICE and Trump's ballroom and instead invest in health care, child care, aging and disability care, food assistance, and lowering costs for families.
Read Jean's blog post about her experience, and tell Congress to #FundCareNotICE! https://t.co/8j00cWp7PF #ReconciliationBill
Originally called Decoration Day, Black Americans interred the bodies of fallen Union soldiers to honor their sacrifice — now known as Memorial Day. Decades later, my great-grandfather served our nation in WWI. Then my grandfather took post in WWII and the Korean War. Today and every day, I honor their sacrifice by fighting for rights they were denied in a country they loved, knowing freedom will prevail if we refuse to give up the battle.
Two Republicans are headed into a runoff to decide who will face Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff (D) in November.
Stacey Abrams joins @AnaCabrera to discuss the midterm elections and more.

This weekend, I joined the @uwomenfaith Assembly in Indianapolis, where I had the honor of meeting Elizabeth Eckford. One of the Little Rock Nine, she bravely integrated an all-white high school in 1957. Her courage advanced the civil rights movement, but almost 70 years later, we find ourselves continuing to fight for equality. Because our freedom is never free — but it is ours to win.

All Roads Lead to the South. Tomorrow, May 16. Montgomery and Selma. Join King Center CEO, Dr. Bernice A. King, and many others who are committed to meeting this critical moment for voting rights in the United States with urgency and strategy.
Why? The Supreme Court’s recent decision in Louisiana vs. Callais and the immediate reaction of several Southern state legislatures to suppress the votes of Black people + the other decisions by the Supreme Court that gutted the Voting Rights Act.
We are awake and alert, and committed to restoring + strengthening the Voting Rights Act. We must build better. And bold nonviolent strategies and solutions will still work.

Southern states wasting no time after SCOTUS 6-3 ruling that eviscerated remaining protections against racial gerrymandering. Stacey Abrams on what it means for Black & brown voters and ALL Americans.
"...what is happening in the South is starting here, but it won't stop here."
Former Georgia House Minority Leader @staceyabrams testifies against Tennessee's new Congressional map, which would eliminate the only Democrat-held seat in the state.
"It is a deeply disturbing truth that Memphis, the place where Dr. King gave his life, is being told that your voices are so irrelevant that we will deny you even one voice in Congress, that one voice out of nine is too much for you. That is a very clear signal and it is, I believe, an act of cowardice to deny them that voice."
STACEY ABRAMS, democracy champion and founder of Fair Fight, calls out the TNGOP racial gerrymander that splits Memphis across three congressional districts. She warned this map returns Tennessee to a “vicious past” that silenced voters.

Look who dropped by yesterday morning as we were moving into our Southside B’ham HQ. Stacey Abrams reminded us that we have to move so much more in this election. We have to move hearts and minds and importantly souls to the polls. Thank you Stacey for your great work and for your endorsement of our campaign to change Alabama.
Free and fair elections are non-negotiable.
@staceyabrams provides us with a valuable reminder: protecting elections is protecting America.
Democracy only works when everyone has a voice.
