I chatted with a grad student and new mom yesterday, who was struggling to make time for some research with a 2 month old baby and wondered if she should quit. Thought maybe she wasn't able to manage her time ok.
So just to say publicly: Newborns are HARD, and work can wait 1/.
I was just told by my child’s daycare she will need to isolate for 10 days after any Covid exposure, no option for testing out. This is just for an EXPOSURE! Is this a joke? How are working parents supposed to cope with trying to keep their jobs and sanity!?
