They Killed Cursive So You’d Need a Translator to Read Your Own History
Two generations now. That’s what we’ve manufactured.
You Can Thank Progressive Ideologue Randi Weingarten and the American Federation of Teachers
In 2010, cursive was quietly stripped from Common Core. No debate. No vote. Just gone — replaced by keyboarding and test prep. Fast forward to today, and the results are exactly what any thinking person would have predicted.
Drew Gilpin Faust — former Harvard president, not exactly a conspiracy theorist — walked into her Civil War seminar and discovered two-thirds of her Harvard undergraduates couldn’t read cursive. Two-thirds. At Harvard. One student admitted he’d reshaped his entire senior thesis to avoid sources with handwriting. Another abandoned Virginia Woolf because she couldn’t read Woolf’s letters.
Let that sink in. The elite are being graduated illiterate in their own language’s written form.
What’s actually been accomplished here?
- The Declaration of Independence is now a foreign document to most Americans under 30. They can’t read it. They depend on someone else’s transcription — someone else’s framing.
- Grandma’s letters from the war. Mom has to translate the birthday card. The direct, unmediated connection to your own bloodline? Severed.
- Original manuscripts, land deeds, family Bibles, journals, contracts. All of it now requires a credentialed interpreter — a new priesthood of specialists who tell you what your history says.
Faust herself spelled out the implication with brutal clarity: “Just imagine if you had some contract that you had signed and you couldn’t read it and someone told you, well, this is what’s in the contract. And then later you might find that it was something else.”
That’s not a bug. That’s the feature.
When a population can’t independently access primary sources, history becomes whatever the gatekeepers decide it is. The past isn’t discovered — it’s assigned. And a person who needs permission to read their own inheritance is a person who’s been quietly, thoroughly disempowered.
The technocrats will tell you it was just pragmatic modernization. Nothing to see here. Just optimizing the curriculum for the 21st-century economy.
Funny how the “optimizations” always seem to produce citizens more dependent, more disconnected, and easier to manage.
Teach your kids cursive. Buy the workbook. Spend twenty minutes a day. Not because it’s charming or vintage — but because a people who can’t read their own founding documents in the original hand are no longer a free people. They’re tenants in their own civilization, renting access to a past that was stolen from them one curriculum meeting at a time.
@elonmusk It will never happen. 6 years and the entire pandemic has been completely swept under the rug. I still see new patients in my office daily whose lives have been completely destroyed by the covid shots. No one will listen.
@jimmy_dore Exactly. Six years, they all got away with it. Meanwhile I still have new patients coming to see me with injuries from the shots. Every patient I talk to is either injured or knows someone injured or killed.
Finally, the truth about the Covid caper is starting to break through to a mass audience, but now another problem arises. Information alone is hitting a population deeply distrustful of everything, so information alone is not enough. We need penance and we need justice.
@purplehead5@laralogan What is Trump’s defense now? When asked, he still thinks Operation Warpspeed was the best thing since sliced bread. It’s indefensible. He wasn’t misinformed. He was and is complicit..and he doesn’t care.
@rxmeds_store My husband had been on 0.6 mg/kg for prostate ca, which caused him extreme dizziness & he did not tolerate it. This is a problem at these high dosages. He is now on 0.4 mg/kg & takes 40 mg a day His dizziness has subsided significantly. FLA in 2021. CTC remains 0. PSA 4.6.
@JenniferM502@KrystalReno2383@LightOnLiberty They will give you all kinds of reasons for that like isolating antigens, maintaining the blind & “ethical standards”. All of that was blown to shit during Covid, along w/their credibility.Get as healthy as you can &stay out of the jaws of conventional medical circles & their ilk.
I found it comforting when Tulsi Gabbard resigned from her position as DNI and immediately showed up as a guest at Peter Thiel's private event where elites were to discuss "surviving the upcoming world war."
@AndrewZywiecMD I love my two cups of (organic) coffee in the morning..been drinking it for years with a splash of heavy cream. It’s called moderation. Five cups? Lol..no.
Catherine Austin Fitts describes the Covid era as a "financial coup"—designed to transfer economic power to large corporations by deliberately bankrupting small businesses while large retailers were allowed to stay open.
"What you do is you shut down the small businesses and small farms, you leave the publicly traded companies open... and then they're in a position to consolidate the market share of the small businesses and buy up assets cheap."
"It's an incredible way to pick up market share because you don't have to buy it or compete for it. You just shut them down."
National media can’t figure out how both Trump and Democrats have record low ratings. They still live in a binary world where if one goes down, the other goes up. Now, people know both parties are full of shit, that’s why neither side’s approval is going up. A pox on both houses.
