Blackouts have been reported across several parishes in Jamaica, affecting electricity service in multiple areas.
Efforts to contact the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) for information on the cause of the outages and estimated restoration times have so far been futile. The JPS is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
This is a developing story.

Tufton should actually visit some of these hospitals because he is clearly out of touch. Many of us have had to go to private institutions to get all those things done, even a simple ultrasound and X-ray. #JamaicaDebates2025
In other words the JLP will do nothing to help to regulate the banking system as they continue to add several more fees on its customers while the government does nothing to protect us. #JamaicaDebates2025
The host sound very disgusting. We understand that you need structure and time management, but the aggresssive shouting is extremely unnecessary #JamaicaDebates2025
Pearnel Charles Jr didn’t do much to get into government, didn’t do much to be place in a constituency which was a safe seat and didn’t do much tonight. But why work hard when the government has become a family tradition #JamaicaDebates2025
Sophia Fraser-Binns, just a word of advice, speak to us like we understand what you are saying as the audience that you direct your demeanor to attract are not watching the debates and we who are can be spoken to with intellect. Thank you #JamaicaDebates2025
