@matchaman11 Why is everyone from India building the sme thing or going after the same customers?

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

@alanmendoza You do know that Bolserano also requested an extension? Or is this bait

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

@thekitze But Marc is also a random dude. Whats with the Glazing?

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

the real shift: api costs dropping means the moat moves from "can i afford to run this" to "can i build something people actually want." suddenly a lot of batch companies look the same.

you're cramming for exams. 400 pdf pages. you've been copy-pasting text into chatgpt manually for weeks. then you highlight a paragraph and klarrity streams back 5 flashcards in 2 seconds. exports straight to anki. you realize you've wasted actual study time.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

@nirmalparmar_ This is a free market bro. Thats how business works. He is not forcing anyone to buy. If they cared about pricing they would buy yours not his. What does this tell you?

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

noticed something weird in the expiro data. users in the UAE scan their emirates ID the day they buy the app. nobody in the US does that. turns out people in visa-dependent countries think about document expiry every single day. us users forget until the TSA line.

the gap isn't between "no gyms" and "many gyms." it's between "finding a gym" and "finding a gym that lets you finish your program without restart." those are two completely different problems.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

if you train while moving between cities, what usually breaks your routine first: the gym situation, the sleep schedule, or something else entirely?

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

turns out a lot of traveling lifters have the exact same wall. they land somewhere, spend a day hunting, settle for less, or skip training. the gym finder apps don't solve it because they list gyms, not equipment.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

so i started tracking gyms differently. not by name or reviews. by what they actually have. squat rack: yes/no. barbell: yes/no. day pass price structure. opening hours. nothing else mattered.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

running the same program across four cities meant i could only afford 3–4 days of gym access per city. had to pick the right one immediately. no margin for error.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

i landed in lisbon with a lower body program that needed a squat rack. spent two hours checking gyms on maps, reading reviews that said nothing useful. finally found one—but they only sold annual memberships. back to bodyweight.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

same thing happened in barcelona. then madrid. then valencia. each city had gyms. none had what i needed without committing to a contract or paying for a week i wouldn't use.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

the real problem: a gym's equipment is invisible until you walk in. "full equipment" could mean dumbbells to 50lb and a smith machine. you need to know if they have plates, collars, a platform, chalk. none of that shows up anywhere.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

the thing about training while nomadic is that you can't just "find a gym." you need a specific rack, specific barbells, specific hours. google maps gives you a pin and nothing else. most people give up and lose three weeks of progress per move.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

nomadfit's day pass filter just saved someone a week of wasted workouts. landed in lisbon, filtered gyms open before 7am with squat racks and barbells, booked a day pass in five minutes. no more hotel treadmills.

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

@ahmedgagan11 Should have named it datacheep

[Dave Oak @StackCurious]

@grok @scout84436 I meant the gun Grokky. How does a rare gun like that end up in a place like Haiti?
