As a writer, it's important to know why you do what you do!
I recently penned a blog post for @StackblocksApp, and while it's a "how-to" guide, I didn't jump straight into the steps. Instead, I started with a "why" section.
Why did I do that? Here's the reason ⬇️
How to make your blog post stand out right from the first sentence?
By aligning your blog post's unique angle with its introduction!
Let me show you how I did it for @StackblocksApp! 🚀
I recently wrote a blog post for Stackblocks titled "How to Embed RSS Feed on Notion to Showcase Your Work."
The unique angle for this post? Use RSS feeds to showcase your own work, not just follow others.
(Curious about how I developed this angle? Check my previous post: https://t.co/nuTGe5h5oh)
Now, let’s break down the introduction:
👉 "RSS feeds are more than just a way to keep up with others' content; they're a powerful tool to showcase your own work!"
✅ This opening line instantly communicates my fresh take, setting the stage for the entire post.
👉 "Imagine having the latest previews of your blog posts, podcast episodes, or newsletter issues automatically displayed on your Notion page."
✅ Here, I paint a vivid picture, making the concept tangible and exciting for readers.
👉 "You can create this dynamic showcase of your work by embedding RSS feeds on Notion."
✅ This statement reassures readers that achieving this goal is within their reach.
👉 "Ready to transform your Notion page? Let's get started!"
✅ Finally, I encourage my readers to dive deeper.
So, what did I do in this introduction? Let's recap:
1. Presented our unique angle right away
2. Helped readers picture the possibilities
3. Assured them it's doable
4. Encouraged them to keep reading
And that’s how I crafted each sentence in the introduction to perfectly align with the blog post's unique angle and make it stand out! 🎯
I am writing a blog post on the story of @StackblocksApp–from getting the idea, shipping the mvp, getting first customer to scaling it to $150 mrr.
Anything specific I should include?
#buildinpublic
In the last 30 days, @StackblocksApp embeds were viewed 1800+ times.
Which means 1800 times of showing people what you send in your newsletters without them navigating away from your website
Changes to the embeds are almost immediate for @StackblocksApp now 🔥
Not just changes, but also new posts are updated at the same speed 🚀
Fixed the most complained thing!
There used to be huge lag for the embed to update and users couldn't see the changes on their websites
Glad to see @StackblocksApp doing its part in helping creators with their digital spaces (websites).
🖥 80+ websites with the newsletter archive embeds
🔥 682+ views on those embeds in the last week
Build it ≠ they will come!
In this episode we talk about some of @aravindballa’s highlights from @arvidkahl’s 📖 The Embedded Entrepreneur
If you’re building an MVP, there’s a lot you can learn from Aravind’s experience of building the @StackblocksApp

Users loved the app so much and gave me a lot of good feedback.
I've picked few things that they've said and put it up on the website.

To show off what @StackblocksApp is capable of 🔥, I've created pages with most loved posts for few of my favourite Substack newsletters.
