Since Nov 12, 1983, my dad had held the record for the longest punt in TSU football history at 76yds. Congrats Red on breaking that record today! I know Scotty felt honored to be there to see it!
Trump denied disaster relief for three blue states (VT, IL & MD) and approved them for three Red states (Alaska, NE, and ND).
In short, he's rewarding states that voted for him and hurting those that didn't.
If we lived in a democracy, he'd get impeached for this.
Obama: “What if I sent the National Guard into Texas and said I don’t care what Governor Abbott says… and just kind of took over?”
Imagine that. Fox would’ve had a 96-hour meltdown, 12 panels, and a countdown to “Tyranny Day.”
But when Trump does it? Silence louder than outrage.
When you demonize and mistreat the immigrant, the poor, and the marginalized, I'm not interested in hearing about your religious beliefs.
You've already shown me what they are by how you're demonizing and mistreating the immigrant, the poor, and the marginalized.
They want to decide what books you can read, what history your children can learn, what medicines you’re allowed to take, what surgeries you can have, what gender you’re permitted to be, what sports you can play, which bathroom you can use, who you can love, and who you can marry. They want to own your library, your classroom, your hospital room, your bedroom—and now your television. They want to own the page, the pill, the joke, the chant, the kiss, the very pronoun in your mouth. And then, with breathtaking cynicism, they’ll look straight at you and say it’s the Democrats who are coming for your freedom. Small government? My fucking ass. This isn’t small government. This is government in your bloodstream, in your dictionary, in your bed, and now in your goddamn remote control.

🚨 THREAD: They Lost the Vote. Then They Cheated.
The GOP didn’t win the Big Beautiful Bill.
They lost; on the floor, on the scoreboard, and in full public view.
Final tally when the clock expired:
217 NAY, 207 YEA
They were finished.
But Speaker Mike Johnson refused to close the vote.
Why? Because they knew they couldn’t win fair.
So they kept the vote open indefinitely, something rarely done unless you’re trying to flip people under pressure.
This was a hostage negotiation.
Lawmakers were pulled into backrooms, phones were whipped out, Trump’s name was dropped like a threat.
And one by one, the “No” votes began flipping.
Republicans bent the rules and dragged this vote out longer than any in House history; just to reverse the outcome after losing.
This is why Americans don’t trust Washington.
Because even when we win the fight, they rig the clock.
Let this be clear:
The House GOP held the vote open until they could flip enough Republicans to recast their votes. That’s not leadership. That’s legislative manipulation.
Two Republicans stood tall:
Thomas Massie and Brian Fitzpatrick refused to cave.
But the rest?
They folded like cheap lawn chairs.
If this bill leads to mass deportations, Medicaid cuts, and gutting of essential services.
Remember:
It wasn’t a fair vote.
It was a stolen one.
Independence Day is a reminder that America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ America is owned by no one. It belongs to all citizens. And at this moment in history—when core democratic principles seem to be continuously under attack, when too many people around the world have become cynical and disengaged—now is precisely the time to ask ourselves tough questions about how we can build our democracies and make them work in meaningful and practical ways for ordinary people.
Recession.
WW3.
Riots in the streets.
Arresting political opponents.
Decline.
As it turns out, every accusation Trump made against Kamala was a confession.
"Nobody’s going to spit on our police officers," says Trump, who four months ago pardoned people who beat police officers with pipes, flagpoles, baseball bats and 2-by-4s at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Trump’s statement after arresting Wisconsin judge:
“I expect the legal profession to understand that the nation is not here for them but they are here for the nation… From now on, I shall intervene in these cases and remove from office those judges who evidently do not understand the demand of the hour.”
I lied, that was Hitler in 1942. But the fact that you liked the statement is pretty damning.
SCHUMER: Would the senator yield for a question?
BOOKER: Chuck Schumer, it's the only time in my life I can tell you no
SCHUMER: I just want to tell you, do you know you have just broken the record? Do you know how proud America is of you?
