I have two kids.
When I saw the direction this country was headed, I had a choice: stay comfortable in a career I love, or speak up.
Matt Calkins made that same choice. He resigned from the Seattle Times rather than be muzzled.
Speaking up costs you. But is it worth it?
You bet it is.
Minnesota, you're worth fighting for. I won't stay silent now. I won't stay silent in Washington.
I just got home from a work trip. This is how I am greeted at my door. This is literally the greatest feeling on earth. It’s peak life. The purest joy. Anyone who would reject this — or seek to harm it — is agent of the darkest evil. You are cursed. Anyone who defends harming children can go to hell…and will.
There’s actually no compromise on this issue if you’re a Christian. God help us.
Matthew 18:6
The greatest danger to our democracy comes from a President threatening to interfere in our elections.
That's why I'm working every day to anticipate, plan and protect the right to vote.
The Democrat party has completely lost touch with reality.
They’re not just running on different policies—they’re running on an agenda that threatens to destroy this country.
📸WEEKEND PHOTOGRAPHY TIMELINE CLEANSE📸
This is a very famous spot in Grand Teton National Park known as Schwabacher Landing. It's kind of a cliche location--thousands of photographers go there at dawn to get amazing shots.
This one is a little bit different, however. This was taken in late afternoon as a storm was rolling in. I set my camera up with a 10-stop neutral density filter, making things very dark for the camera so I could run a 3-minute exposure, even in broad daylight. That captured the movement of the storm clouds and gave the water that glassy appearance.
When taking pictures of landscape photographer "cliches," I always try something a little bit different to make the cliche my own.
Nikon D-800, Nikkor 24-70mm zoom @ 26mm, "Big Stopper" ND filter, Really Right Stuff tripod, f/22, 3 minutes, ISO 50
Katia and I met yesterday to discuss how we can earn the support of more Hispanic Americans and help grow the Republican Party. Katia was born in Peru, and I was born in Mexico, but we are proud Americans, united by our love for this country and the opportunities it offers.
We won’t let leftist ideology destroy the American Dream. Proud Conservative Latinas standing strong for Texas, our families, and future generations.
What Ella Langley is doing right now is absolutely incredible!!
“Choosin’ Texas” has spent 17 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the longest-running non-holiday #1 by a solo female artist in history. She became the first woman ever with three songs in the Country Airplay Top 10 at the same time. Dandelion debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and she’s been rewriting record books across country and mainstream music.
And the craziest part?
She’s still on top. Still climbing. Still breaking records.
We’re watching country music history happen in real time. Ella Langley isn’t just having a moment. She’s building a legacy.
I wonder if it was being called a traitor at his own rally yesterday that caused him to dictate his lies and insult laden attack on Tucker, Thomas, and I, while he flew back on the plane.
It’s also the bad polling that I’m sure he’s seen by now.
He attacks us with such vitriol because we actually are everything he claimed to be, conservative and America First, and he has proven as President that he is nothing more than a neocon puppet for Israel, corporations, big donors with special interests, and his dear friends in the Epstein class.
We never changed, Trump did.
Thomas and I have some of the most conservative America focused voting records and legislative work in the House of Representatives. We both consistently voted against funding foreign countries and foreign wars. There is nothing liberal or Democrat about us, however we gladly worked with Democrats to release the Epstein files and to our shock had to fight President Trump, who instead ordered everyone to stop us. This is why Trump now calls me a traitor because instead of bowing down to him like some false little god, I stood up and fought for women who were raped as teenagers and abused by the richest most powerful men in the world, friends of Donald Trump. I’m proud to have done it and never ever regret it.
Tucker is beloved by many Americans, so many that he is indeed a serious Presidential contender because he consistently leans in to the truth and bravely tells the stories that mainstream news refuses to cover yet most Americans are interested in. Because of Tucker’s strength and leadership, young men adore Tucker and look up to him, and they now think Trump is an old fraud.
Young people are our future and we believe in fighting for them and the important issues that help them build successful prosperous lives.
We are strongly against replacing American’s jobs with the foreign visas Trump and his admin support, their place in college that Trump ensures goes to 600,000 foreign students from China and other countries, and we are adamantly against sending off our best and brightest to be killed in war in foreign lands for foreign causes and foreign interests that does nothing for America.
But the most important thing I can tell you about us is that we are devoted Christians and Trump is not a Christian at all.
My dear friends, Tucker and Thomas both have led me in prayer to the Lord our God, in the name of His one and only son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They are my brothers in Christ.
Donald Trump never once prayed with me and only recognizes God when it’s in his staff written speeches. Most Americans don’t know what religion he is, if any, but many speculate that he is Jewish or Kabbalah if he is anything at all.
President Trump’s demeanor, name calling, absurd and reckless rhetoric is unbecoming of the office of the president, is a bad example of leadership, and is hurting America’s reputation and place in the world. At this point, he’s no different than an internet troll or one of the many millions of bots that say awful horrible things.
In the past, I supported him because of the policies he professed to support and passionately campaigned on, but now as president he’s been revealed to be the Trojan horse who enforces many of the policies he claimed to be against.
I’m sorry I didn’t see it earlier and wish I had never supported him.
My biggest concern remains that as Donald Trump loses power and influence he will turn more and more towards war and take actions to make himself feel more powerful and in control, as he grasp and clings to the Oval Office.
Hopefully I’m wrong.
Because of this, I will continue to pray for President Trump to humble himself in the eyes of the Lord and turn to God with sincere faith and repentance for his sins in order to be the president and leader that America needs.
On our evening family walk.
The whole family benefits.
We get the last bit of energy out, evening sun helps set circadian rhythm, after dinner movement regulates blood sugars, we observe nature, talk as a family, learn to serve each other.
It’s a beautiful tradition.
This church is more relevant today than perhaps any other church on earth. Not in its sermons or doctrine but in the sheer weight of what happened here. The history matters, and no one is noticing except you and me. Next week when I return, we dive into it. We have been here before and this is history we DO NOT want to repeat.
