Please go check out Hauwa’s writing. If you like her videos then trust me when I say she is even a better and funnier writer, which is how we all first knew this gem of a human. We loved her writing before we even saw her face. I remember there were people arguing whether Hauwa was a woman or a man using a female pseudonym. Because some people could not imagine a woman writing that humorously. Humor writing (and I am not limiting her to humour writing) is a very underdeveloped area in Nigeria and there are not many who have distinguished themselves in this area. Humor writing is very underrated, too often overlooked as an important part of our literature.

I can think of a pioneer in this regard. Chuma Nwokolo for example who is one of Nigeria’s most important humorists.
