@JoshsPantoChat @PalladiumPanto@LondonPalladium Possibly Aladdin. Don’t know if they will risk doing something that’s too “Out there” for the Palladium.
When one of your favourite musical theatre performers joins your favourite musical, then you know it’s a good day!!
Can’t wait to see @RosieGlossop SMASH it as well…. Rosie!! (It was bound to happen at some point)
@JoshsPantoChat It’s going to have to be something big to celebrate 10 years. Probably a well known title. Don’t think they will risk doing something new for this one. Maybe the year after though
My generation gets ridiculed by the young quite often, as though we're some sort of drain on society
Despite 40-50 years of paying tax.
We recycled before it was even labelled. Rubbish went straight in the galvanised bin and got compressed easily because we didn't have moulded plastics and shrink wrap, ready meal boxes.
Meat came from a butcher in grease proof paper and brown paper, which was used to help ignite kindling on our fires.
We bought food fresh everyday, from neighbourhood shops we could walk to,
no cross contamination, fish came from a fish shop, meat from a butcher, fruit n veg from a greengrocer.
As kids we walked to school too.
No syndromes no trans no hyperactive..we were just glad to get a meal in our bellies and see the fire lit in winter.
We didn't have time to fanny around , self indulgent dissecting behaviour, and guess what no one went for counselling or therapy.
We sorted our own shit out within the family. By the way , whole families lived within walking distance of each other
babysitting wasn't a thing. Our parents did't have the money for meals out, taxis so they could get smashed, no spray tans no hair extensions no frills. A little 'ne' time was when your head hit the pillow and you went straight to sleep because you were knackered .no need for whale music and self help tapes.
They brought their own kids up too.
Dad's worked mums nurtured, cooked , and created a home that everyone was thankful for.
No childminders, not many dysfunction kids having tantrums because they haven't got a new iPhone!
Teachers taught subjects, they didn't interfere with family life, no mother would be seen dead taking their kids to school in pyjamas especially with some lame excuse about time.
We've lost the plot for sure.
Too much government creating a helpless society that's encouraged girls to see themselves as independent if they have kids with no dads,
You're not independent at all
You've swapped the dad for the state, The state and all it's intrusions becomes the father figure and financial support .
I'll recap
We didn't need excessive packaging for food
We didn't need two cars
Flash jobs
Councelling
Therapy
Extended education
And we certainly didn't have time to follow our bloody dreams 🤦🏼
We didn't get anything offered, we just got on with it, and still managed to buy a house , go on holiday avoid excessive debt and bail the younger generation out of theirs ..
You tell me now if you see progress!
