2023 school year off to a great start. Today Math in the Trades os working on our measuring lab. We start our Career Connections work next week and once we finish our safety exams we will start our first project of the year, designing and building decks!

Last week our students were able to learn about becoming a Carpenter at the apprenticeship school in Elk Grove. The students learned about how to apply and what the educational process looks like. They received a tour of an amazing facility. @StaggHighSchool @StaggSTEM

Last week our Math and Construction class visited the Bricklayers union and learned first hand how to tuck point, build a wall, and lay tile. It was a great experience for our students, thank you to the Bricklayers Union for hosting us. @StaggHighSchool @StaggSTEM

Stagg’s math in the trades and construction hosted their first vocational fair today for our Seniors. We had over 240 seniors take part in an opportunity to learn about careers in the trades and at local career based schools, like Moraine Valley. We had 25 vocations present.
