I feel like this is the root of so many of my problems.
People underestimate the impact of introversion and social anxiety. Itโs not just being "quiet" or "shy", itโs a constant negotiation with your own mind. Itโs the weight of rehearsed conversations that never happen. Itโs the ache of wanting to be seen, yet terrified of being noticed. Itโs the mental gymnastics before every hello.
You overthink interactions, you avoid spaces because you're easily drained, you silently withdraw and isolate yourself even when you crave connection. It affects relationships, opportunities, even self-worth.
Itโs not a personality quirk. Introversion mixed with social anxiety is a silent battle. And no one ever teaches you how to deal with it or overcome it. Youโre just left to figure it out on your own.
