“We are collectively imploring you to intentionally deny Tyla and her team visas as well. They can't do this to our own and we welcome their own. M@dness must match m@dness” — BBNaija star, Pere
Zimbabweans boycotted other South African artists that wanted to perform in their country, it’s you idiot that wants to go and see Tyla. I actually hope lightning strikes you
Hello @Tyllaaaaaaa you are an amazing musician with a great personality. I believe. Your stance projects the essence of breaking uncommon grounds no matter where you are from or your color. I am pretty sure you wouldn’t have loved it if people in countries you go to dont want you there or punish you for the sins of others. We can agree or disagree on so many things but one thing we both have to agree is that our positions in this space also enables us to take charge of social issues that directly affect our identities without bias. If your people demand for boundaries, we will obey it, however we also have the right to our boundaries which i feel if you read the room, you would know this isnt the right time. It shows lack of empathy, it’s taunting and lacks emotional intelligence to want to host an event here. You are welcome but not welcome because if whatever you stand for doesn’t align with our pain or come with the best intention for country then just please let us heal in peace. It’s not an appeal to think through or over think, it’s just commonsense. The truth is anything other than speaking about the Xenophobic atrocities is not welcomed ; as much as we respect it, you are not welcome here. It’s not a threat; it’s an appeal. We only align with respecting people who respect other Africans. No voice means agreement. If you are in agreement with what your country did; it’s fair but let us heal. The lives of every African matters. Please you are welcome but not welcome
The fact that you can’t check into a hotel until 4pm when the day is basically over but have to check out by 10am the next morning should honestly be illegal.
