#StainesPrepYear3 have enjoyed presenting and sharing their rainforest dioramas with each other. A fantastic project showcasing their learning so far this term. So many creative and colourful creations, well done Year 3!
Our Geography lesson took us deeper into Rainforest. #StainesPrepYear3 learned about the different tribes and their way of living. We decorated masks inspired by different tribes; we designed fierce, bold and animal like masks.
In Maths this week, #StainesPrepYear3 have been exploring tenths. We used the cubes to represent as many different ways as we could find to represent tenths up to a whole.
In Maths, #StainesPrepYear3 have been working hard to place and order fractions on a number line. Using the fraction manipulatives has helped us see how many fractions make a whole.
Inspired by the inspirational artist Marianne North, #StainesPrepYear3 have sketched their favourite piece from her collection and have finished it using watercolours. Finished artwork coming soon!
#StainesPrepYear3 have been learning about deforestation in English and Geography. They studied for and against arguments for deforestation before debating their points of view.

Eating healthily and knowing what a balanced diet is, is important to everyone. #StainesPrepYear3 have been creative and have made Eat Well plates out of a range of materials to help make their mealtimes healthy, balanced and colourful.

Christmas arrived in Year 3 this week. We baked Christmas Tree shortbread biscuits, decorated our Christmas tree decorations, made wreaths and celebrated the end of term with Christmas jumpers. A fantastic end to our first term!
