Simon recognises the challenges and potential with the Academy and on the back of the restructuring, is the ideal person to lead the club’s football operations in this new role.’’

Ian Milligan commented:
‘’Following the restructure, we are fortunate to have such a high calibre individual as Simon to head our football operations. Having made a strong start with the First Team, we are excited to have an ex Wales international to now lead the Academy.

He will take up this position from January 1st. In his new role, Simon will report to Club Chair Rob Gorski and Academy Chair Ian Milligan.

NEW HEAD OF ACADEMY AND FOOTBALLING STRUCTURE

Stalybridge Celtic are restructuring their football operations by introducing a new role which combines the responsibilities of First Team Manager and Academy Head.

This will see Dave Sullivan leave the Academy Head role after two and a half years and we thank Dave for all his hard work and wish him all the best in the future.
First Team Manager Simon Haworth has been appointed to the new combined role on a long term contract!
