Block paving on Corporation Street has finally been replaced.

Mr David Stockwell of Balford Beatty said they had removed Tarmac and Blocks up to 8 metre x 2.1 metres. Cleaned the bottom and then laid 100mill of concrete then compacted and relaid the Blocks.

Result from Dukinfield/Stalybridge ward and it is another 2nd place for us. David Sweeton was re-elected with 920 votes and David McGovern received 680 votes.

Result in from Stalybridge North and unfortunately, Lee Stafford's bid to become our first elected councillor has been unsuccessful. Incumbent Adrian Pearce has been re-elected after receiving 759 votes. Lee was a very creditable 2nd with 684 votes
