One way we honor God is by living happy. He didn’t create you to drag through the day overcome by problems, discouraged by disappointments. No, this day is a gift from God. We should feel a responsibility to live it in faith, happy, joyful.
God didn’t change His mind about your purpose. He didn’t disqualify you because you made a mistake. He hasn’t forgotten about you out in the desert. You may have been there a long time, but this is a new day. Get your fire back. Get your passion back. It’s still going to happen.
Here’s a key: you have to give yourself permission to be happy. Sometimes we’ve bought into the lie that we’re not supposed to be happy. We’ve been through too much; we’ve made too many mistakes. If we’re happy, people may not understand. Can I tell you? You’re supposed to be happy. It's okay to enjoy your life, to laugh, to smile. Happiness starts on the inside.
With every new dream God puts in your heart, with every new assignment, comes a fresh anointing, fresh faith, fresh boldness, fresh favor. Your slingshot, with the anointing of God, is more powerful than a huge giant with a full set of armor.
Lay aside the weights that are holding you back, and run with passion, run with excellence. You’re not just living unto yourself. You’re affecting those who will come after you, and you’re honoring those who have gone before you.
Everyone deserves a place where they are seen and loved.
Because of your generosity, more than 500 people gathered for Champions Club’s Dream Again banquet, creating a special experience for families with special needs. Thank you, Lakewood family, for helping make these moments possible and creating a place where everyone belongs.

If someone doesn’t want to be with you, they don’t like you, validate you, approve you, shake the dust off and move on. Accept that they’re not a part of your story.

One of the hardest things for us to do is to let people go. You have to recognize when their part in your story is over.
