Dear Senator Thune

The old institutional rules were built for a different country.

Open borders, criminal aliens and weak election systems changed the game. Proof of citizenship and voter ID aren’t radical - - they’re the bare minimum response to reality.

Clinging to Senate process while the conditions that made those rules workable disappear isn’t prudence. It’s denial.

Different times demand different measures. The institution needs to adapt or it becomes the obstacle.

Pass the SAVE Act.

That’s just not true.

No person would be turned away from voting.

Any person without documentation would be able to sign an attestation.

The SAVE America Act does NOT require proof of citizenship for those already registered to vote.

Why don’t you suggest an amendment which would allow remote Alaskan voters to attach a copy of their proof of citizenship + photo ID to an absentee ballot?

It’s completely disingenuous to say you don’t have the time to implement the SAVE America Act

when you could have passed it last year.

It’s equally as bad to say that you support photo ID & proof of citizenship when you won’t even offer suggestions for how to earn your support on this legislation.

Looks like I’ll have to travel to Alaska to ask the voters themselves.
