An associate (str8 BW) who worked in radio at the time said he came to an interview with date, and it was obvious they were together, nothing hidden. He just didn't make a public pronouncement a la Ellen.

Not now, certainly not when we were growing up. It's ok for some to be confused, change their minds, etc. We r all human beings trying to figure life out.

Some lived as women 24/7, and I know for certain one of them now identifies as trans. There are a couple others I expect also do, but we've lost contact. /3
