Charlie Kirk used to say that the Left will use Islam to bring down America.
“The spiritual battle is coming to the West and the enemies are woke-ism or Marxism combining with Islamism to go after what we call the American way of life”
He was right.
@ky_statesman Where have I heard that before? Where were you in the 10-year battle to stop the casinos. Would have been good to have had your help. No worries. In the past.
@KYCooperrider@localtonians@KYCooperrider is dang good. He is having an impact on policy far greater than any elected official on the scene today. Thanks for what you do!
Stan Cave, a frmr GOP House rep & Fletcher admin chief of staff, is NOT running for governor in 2027.
That leaves Rep. James Comer, SOS Michael Adams & Rep. Thomas Massie as the only ones who have seriously discussed it.
Comer's '27 run is seen as an inevitability by allies.
@treswatson Haha! The worst candidate for any office I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t understand issues. Can’t read a room. No instincts. Unfriendly. And worst of all, condescending.
Quite the clock here at the UK College Republicans forum for GOP #KY06 candidates. Reps. Deanna Gordon and Ryan Dotson & former state senator Ralph Alvarado.
This is the Central KY-based seat being vacated by Rep. Andy Barr due to his Senate run.

Without the government, who would charge you with nearly 100 counts of abuse—without a shred of evidence? Under @AndyBeshearKY’s administration, that’s exactly what happened to the Vanderkooi family. The Beshear administration drained their life savings, attempted to force them into financial ruin, and then—after years of torment—let them walk away with a minor second-degree misdemeanor just to shield themselves from liability. This isn’t a dystopian nightmare; it’s the reality the Vanderkooi family endured.
One of the accused—a devoted mother—wasn’t even present when the fabricated ‘crime’ allegedly happened. Yet she was arrested and ripped from her breastfeeding baby, who had never had a bottle. That traumatic separation left the child with lasting attachment issues that affect them to this day. To make matters worse, the administration attempted to mar their character and publicly disparage them by plastering their faces in local newspapers and on the news. On top of that, they violated the Vanderkoois’ constitutional right to a speedy trial, dragging out the nightmare for years with endless delays that only deepened the pain and financial ruin.
Their only ‘crime’ was running a faith-based mission in Kentucky to help troubled young men. For that, Andy Beshear’s administration waged a relentless campaign of persecution—determined to shatter their reputation, their finances, and their lives beyond repair. And they nearly succeeded.
This is corruption, plain and simple. It thrives in the shadows, unchecked, until we shine a light on it. The Vanderkoois’ story isn’t just their fight—it’s a wake-up call for all of us. We must expose these injustices, demand accountability, and stand with families like the Vanderkoois who are persecuted for their beliefs.

Ten million views. This video has officially gone viral.
Why? Honestly… your guess is as good as mine.
It’s 45,000 voices singing The Blessing, led by Kari Jobe Carnes and Cody Carnes. And here’s my take:
It felt like a little glimpse of Heaven.
One day, Scripture tells us we will all stand before the Lord and worship Him.
It might look something like this.
But what happened next? Even more remarkable…
6,500 people prayed and asked Jesus Christ to come into their lives —
5,500 in the stadium, and another 1,000 watching online.
So many came, the Fire Marshall shut it down.
Let’s make this moment echo even farther.
