Introducing Champions Gate.
Created as a tribute to the Chicago Cubs’ World Series championships, the monument honors the players and managers behind the franchise’s greatest achievements. While commemorating the historic titles of 1907, 1908 and 2016, Champions Gate also creates space for the next generation of Cubs champions to be recognized.
It will be dedicated on July 18 in recognition of the 10th anniversary of the Cubs’ 2016 World Series championship.
Linda Cohn, who has anchored more editions of SportsCenter than anyone in ESPN history, will be retiring from ESPN on June 30. Cohn, who was honored in 2016 for hosting her 5,000th edition of SportsCenter, will make her final appearances on ESPN during the 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET editions on Friday, June 26.
Happy 70th Birthday to Cubs legend Rick Sutcliffe! 🎉
Acquired in the middle of the 1984 season, “The Red Baron” went 16-1 for Chicago, won the NL Cy Young Award, and helped lead the Cubs to their first postseason appearance in 39 years. ⚾️🐻
Happy Father’s Day. I’m lucky to be the dad of two amazing daughters and soon I’ll get to be a grandad for the second time. They’re the most important jobs I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
Happy Birthday to The Ace Of Aces, the most underrated pitcher in the History of Baseball, Rick Sutcliffe.
And a Happy Father's Day too @Sut_40 - enjoy your day Red Baron.

“The answer to the taker can’t be surrender. What’s required is moral clarity. Civic courage. Public outrage. Patriotic defiance. The White House must one day be rebuilt physically, culturally and spiritually from the damage Trump has inflicted upon it.”
