If the Heat get Giannis....
(Yes, it's still an "if").....
The next national media move will be that he's not any good anymore.
Even though his offensive metrics were all the best of his career.
Prior to the Iguodala-Crowder trade, the Heat lineup with Butler in 2019 included:
2 rookies (Nunn and Herro)
Bam (1st year starting; much better now)
Meyers Leonard starting
Winslow, who had worn out welcome
Dragic (off the bench; still quality player)
DJJ/KO/Duncan/Silva
“I'm thinking about what [Miami] would do after they got Giannis…Andrew Wiggins for LeBron James. If you were S&T Wiggins out…This would be a way for LeBron to get paid, to be on a competitive team, & have a real shot at making the end of his career interesting.” - @SamQuinnCBS
What the Heat would have left on the roster after a trade for Giannis (and corresponding additions) will likely be better than what they had left in 2019 when they traded for Butler (even while giving up nothing).
They made a trade during the season and went to the Finals.
The Milwaukee Bucks want Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, No. 13 overall and future 1st-round pick from the Heat to finish off a Giannis trade, per @esidery
